Meet the Director
David Friend
For the effort in supporting the students, leading the curriculum, and coordinating the Advisory Board, we are fortunate to have recruited David Friend as the founding Director of the Principled Entrepreneurship Institute (PEI) at Marin Catholic. David recently ‘retired' from a 35 year career where he led and created business opportunities at both Fortune 50 and start-up companies. He is a graduate of U.C. San Diego where he studied Political Science and Economics. He also studied World Economics at Cambridge University and holds certificates in Business Data Analytics and Digital Marketing from SMU. No stranger to the MC Community, David has served the school for the past 8 years on the Board of Regents and is the proud parent of two graduates - Nathaniel (’14) and Gillian (’18). His focus as Director of the PEI has been to ensure a coordinated program where students grow as leaders for positive change.
