Summer Program Opportunities
Summer is the ideal time for students to take advantage of the variety of programs offered at colleges and universities across the country and abroad. Information on programs at the schools listed below is located in the library (see the SUMMER PROGRAM BIN) and on the bulletin board in Senior Hall. Students should check the deadlines now for any of the programs that they might have an interest in, so they don’t miss out on any scholarship opportunities. Some have deadlines as early as January 31st.Taking classes at a university is a fun way to spice up your resume and it also comes in handy when applying to colleges during senior year. Most importantly, it gives you a chance to experience college life, from living on campus, to meeting people from all walks of life and parts of the country, to being away from home.
Students who are seeking a part time job after school, on the weekends, or during the summer, should check the JOB BINDER in the library each month. Many Marin County businesses post job positions that are available for high school students. New postings are added every couple of weeks. Work permits are available in Ms. Meaney’s office.
