A Service Opportunity for Freshmen:
Join a group of MC freshmen at Faith Food Fridays in Vallejo. On Friday, March 22, an MC parent will pick up students at MC and drive them back to MC after the service work. The kids will work with 100 to 200 needy families distributing groceries, clothing, books & toys. They need to dress warm - it is located in an old ice house. Students are encouraged to bring gently used toys and books to donate. Also, they can always use more donations of household essentials like toilet paper, paper cups, packing tape for box making and large trash bags. The MC parent will meet the students in the parking lot at 1:00 PM and bring them back to school at 7:00 PM. For more information and to sign up, please contact Mrs. Rockett at jrockett@marincatholic.org. Please note that you must contact Mrs. Rockett to sign up as we only have space for no more than 4 students each Friday and permission slips must be signed. For more information on the agency, please visit: . http://www.faithfoodfridays.com/

If someone needs more hours, they could show up at the church earlier and hang out with our kids while they are having snack time and stay to help the counselors with games/art until 4:30.  They would like consistency of volunteers, so someone can choose one day a week and come that day each week. They are seeking two students on Mondays/Tuesdays and four students on Wednesdays. Volunteers need to be at least in the second semester 10th grade.  If interested, please call or  email Jan: 415-456-6760, x 13 or jreynolds@fpcsr.org  (PIN Hours)
