Marin Catholic’s athletic program offers more opportunities than any school north of the Golden Gate Bridge. With 29 varsity sports teams and 85% student participation, the Wildcats traditionally finish in the top 2-3 spots in the Marin County Athletic League. In addition to the numerous championships, Marin Catholic annually wins several North Coast Section Scholastic banners. In 2007-08, the North Coast Section recognized every varsity team as an Scholastic Honor Team.

MC's Kathryn Murphy (right) recently qualified for the Olympic Trials in swimming. In addition qualifying for the trials, Murphy took 3rd place and broke the Pacific Swimming 15-16 Girls 50-meter Freestyle record. Murphy was also on the Marin Pirate 200-meter freestyle relay team that took 2nd and broke the Pacific Swimming 15-18 Girls record.
